Wampire, say what? Well I guess they are bloodline of Count Dracula or something. I was crossing over a couple trails today and heard somebody say "more shit please" (introduction to the track). The scratchy voice with an undercovered transylvanian inspired backround gave Magic Light an instant boost; a couple of sticks thrown on a campfire.

I just was introduced to Smith Westerns and found that they would be releasing an album Dye It Blond later this month. It was time to give them a listen and a trail-spotting. Their youthful sound doesn't come as a surprise as their members are ages 18-20. Let's see where they go and take a listen to their single All Die Young.

First off, last night Jamie xx (Jamie Smith xx member / producer) was featured on Benji B's BBC Radio 1 show where he put together a mix that takes you deep into the night. There was so much offered you all should click the link above and check it out. In addition Jamie has reworked Gil Scott-Heron's latest 13 track album I'm New Here into a re-imagination titled We're New Here. It will release February 21st and I want to get us going down this newest trail of Jamie Smith.
