Marina & the Diamonds hit the trail by naming a demo Sex, Yeah. Anytime you want to market something I recommend going with sex, cause it sells. The track leaked from her recording of Die Life which is her sophomore album. The album is set to release in October of this year.

Patrick Wolf, a singer and songwriter from London, is gearing up for his May releasing album Lupercalia. He has released his first single accompanying Lupercalia, The City. The music video came along for the ride and from the looks of it we should take a trip to the shore before the city takes over. Follow along and see what we find in the coming months from Patrick. *Edit* due to poor audio quality in the music video I have included the soundcloud as well.

Avicii, not only do I doubt I could pronounce Tim Bergling's stage name correctly, but I doubt many have heard of this Swedish DJ. He once explained his moniker 'Avici'. His friend told him it meant the lowest level of hell in Buddhism and Tim just stuck with it. Can't say how he decided that was a good idea, but no matter the name the artist is hitting strong. I found a track he put out recently, Penguin, and it caught my attention. This is a perfect introduction for Avicii and hope we hear more from him.

Sparkadia caught my attention just the other day with this track, Mary. Since I am going to have my eyes and ears buried in football on this b-e-a-utiful Sunday in California I figured I would post this really quick. It is a catchy tune with a snap-clap rhythm. Give it time, it might just make it to the top of your playlist. The music video for their first single, Talking Like I'm Falling Down Stairs, is also below. Both tracks are catchy like Donald Driver ( Green Bay Packers Wide Receiver) and the tribe will be looking forward to their second album with a hinted release in March.

MNDR or Amanda Warner released this heavy-drum synth, blasty-esqe set that makes waves for this "geeky"* chicks track (*see photo above). Titled, Cut Me Out, her latest track was offered up by Green Label Sound for download and thought I would set a little flame here.

Braids, which I included in a post last week, has been one-upped by a killer remix that Team Daze put together. They have turned Glass Deers into a wonder-filled odyssey that seems to satisfy any sunny day where there is a requirement for imagination. Listen in to a great mix done up by Teen Daze.

Another reminder of California. I decided to post this track by JOYWAVE titled Golden State. It isn't as much a song about California as much as how places/things can remind us of our girlfriends and those that are no more. Take a listen and see if you can relate (if you're a chick replace lead vocals with a female and change the story to your liking if you find the need).
